Shaoxing, China. Tufts-in-China. Sept. 2005.

I'm in red with that not-so-attractive, very uncomfortable yellow flower headpiece. That black stuff you see coming out behind the yellow flower is fake hair. :-$ I really wanted to wear the guys' cap. :-D Anyway, we visited Shaoxing for a week for calligraphy lessons. At the end of the week, our professor and calligraphy teacher thought it'd be a great idea to dress up in Tang Dynasty clothing and recite poems about beer and wine near a man-made kiddie stream. We drank rice wine, too. And when I say "we", I mean the guys. Aileen is allergic to alcohol and I don't like the taste. Tim, that lucky Jumbo, got away with not dressing up... -_____-

The whole experience made me think of Li Bai (aka Li Po 李白) and his unquenchable love for liquor (and the moon). I think one of the lines we came up for the group poem was "好酒喝不醉" (You can't get drunk from good wine). Anyway, thought I'd share. ^_^
