About Us
"Bring Forth Positive Change Within Your Community & Yourself"
MISSION:
Our mission is to educate the youth of our nation about various issues that affect them and their communities, through our innovative programs and enriching activities, while inspiring them to take action.
By providing the youth with the necessary tools to participate in our programs, we encourage personal growth and awareness about substantial issues that affect them.
The experiences that many youths attain from our programs, will help them become very healthy enlightened leaders and community organizers for the future.
HISTORY:
The Gem Project was first founded on March 26, 2006, and was recently incorporated and registered in the state of New Jersey on October 1, 2007. We are able to educate the youth on important issues that affect our world and community.
We are able to do so with our innovative programs and circulating showcase displays. Our showcase displays feature young people holding up posters that display facts about a particular issue. The displays are large in stature with color. A gem project photographer, who photographed the individuals who held the facts, helps to generate proceeds at the benefit shootings toward a particular research institution for the featured cause. The showcase is then featured alongside a program that complements it. It is then continuously circulated throughout various institutions.
Our programs consist of college campus walks, awareness luncheons, galas, filmed public service announcements, motivational speaking series, and discussions. These programs run alongside our colorful informative showcase displays. We captivate to educate. This method is effective because it acts as a double reinforcement to bring forth awareness to the desired issue or cause.
