Youth Venture

A project created in order to give comfort to the children that arrive into the emergency room department of our local hospital

I have been volunteering at our local hospital since I was a freshman in high school. It quickly became apparent just how many children were either admitted into the emergency room or left alone in the waiting area due to parents being admitted. However, while programs have been implemented in the pediatrics and other areas of the hosptial where goods are distributed to the children to comfort them, none are located here
this made me want to take action and do my part in helping out.
with the help of a dedicated vice principal and my gear up coordinator, I was able to submit my proposal and was awarded the $1000.00 to begin the venture.
As soon as people heard about the project, many were more than willing to take part and our venture team has been increasing.
It is being kept small as few drives are done on campus to collect stuffed animals, toys, and anything kid friendly. It is currently being implemented as the freshman team project but will be expanding as the drives progress.
