If we won $10,000 from Best Buy@ 15 we would use it to buy books! We just started buying books directly from publishers at sharply discounted prices so we could buy 8,000 brand new books. That would make an awful lot of happy children and spread the joy of reading in a big way. Gingerbread House Display and Auction!!!! My Own Book is hosting a Gingerbread House Display and Auction. We have asked for donations of gingerbread houses from private individuals, clubs, bakeries, restaurants, etc. We are posting pictures of each of the gingerbread houses on our website and encouraging individuals to bid on the houses to raise money to buy books to promote and share the love of reading.
