Lua Nova seeks to work with groups of young women mothers who come from a background of social exclusion, often including drug and sexual abuse, and who reside at the centre for an average period of 9 months. Lua Nova assists them in a process of rediscovery of their moral and ethical values and in the recovery of their citizenship. The principle is to interconnect the community to the young mothers and vice-versa, propitiating the healthy development of social connections and fomenting values such as respect and citizenship.
