We have asked for donations of gingerbread houses from private individuals, clubs, bakeries, restaurants, etc. We are posting pictures of each of the gingerbread houses on our website and encouraging individuals to bid on the houses to raise money to buy books to promote and share the love of reading.

Teen volunteers will be on hand at Bransford Elementary School's holiday musical performance evening to read and let the children pick out books. We picked this evening because we wanted the entire family on hand to see that reading is fun! We are also letting each child enter our drawing for one of five FIVE FOOT TALL teddy bears complete with a teddy bear book.
In addition, we've teamed up with Hi 4-H to have crafts and cookies on hand for the families. This should help make the event great!

On December 17th we are taking part in Bransford's Holiday Celebration by reading stories and distributing books. In addition we will be raffling off five - five foot tall teddy bears with bear books to the children. Toalk about making reading fun!
We are looking forward to this event because all of our local teen volunteers will be together for the first time since summer. We plan on having a Bear-y Nice event!
