Youth Venture

I am a senior, electrical engineering major attending Wilberforce University, the first historically black private liberal arts institution in the nation. I am involved in several organizations on campus including: Alpha kappa Mu Honor Society, National Society of Black Engineers, National Society of Leadership and Success, Pretti Gamma Pretti Women's Health Collaboration, and Wilberforce University Liturgical Dance Troupe. I am currently the reigning queen of my University. My dreams and aspirations include: affecting positive change on my campus/university; raising money for my institution and building community relations; becoming a professional aerospace/electrical engineer, owning my own private jet, and becoming a world renowned humanitarian. I really love helping people and making a difference. I believe that none of us could have made it to where we are today without the help of someone else and I truly believe that we owe it to those people who helped us along the way to show our appreciation by giving back to our community. We can make the world better if we all strive.

• The reason I have started this venture was to increase the morale on my campus and to unite the student body, faculty members, administration, and Wilberforce community. Other reasons included: restoring traditional beauty to my school campus and bringing BullDog Pride back to our school. I would like to affect positive change on my campus. I am in the midst of going through the Youth Venture selection process for the Youth Venture MtvU Grant. My goal is to be approved by the Youth Venture panel and to ultimately be able to affect positive change on my campus.
