Youth Venture

Our team's main objective is to give high schoolers with interest in the arts more opportunities to expand their knowledge in that field.

Our Youth Venture team leaders are Shub Agrawal and Kizzi Belfon who are both juniors at New York University. Kizzi grew up in the Caribbean and because of her first hand struggle to attain an opportunity at higher level education she has a passion to make that path easier for other students coming from her background that being disadvantaged, minority, underprivileged, etc. Shub has always had a passion for dancing and the arts and was dissatisfied with the few opportunities for individuals interested in the arts at higher education institutions. She wants there to be the same opportunities for dance students as there are for athletes. Because of our backgrounds and our interest in making a difference in the community we teamed up to start ABC--Arts for a Better Community. ABC's is an after school program essentially but with many rewards. We intend to provide resources for our students to improve their skills whether it be in dance, theatre etc. We'll also facilitate trips to our university and nearby ones so that they could have a real world view of what it takes to get to where they want to be. We hope that while making a difference in their lives we would keep them on the path to college.
