Non-Profit group that helps kids prepare for disasters

Always Ready Kids is a youth-run project that helps kids prepare for the unexpected such as minor injuries or even disasters. We do this by speaking to kids about how to prepare for disasters, by handing out safety pamphlets, and by distributing safety packets that include basic preparedness items.
In addition to disaster preparedness Always Ready Kids helps with all sorts of disaster relief efforts. Always Ready Kids has distributed more than 250 safety packets and has impacted over 1,500 students by distributing safety information. Always Ready Kids helped out after the Tsunami in South East Asia by raising $10,000. Always Ready Kids has also raised over $9,000 for the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
Always Ready Kids has conducted numerous preparedness projects including a safety card preparedness project at the 2004 Olympics and has conducted numerous projects outside of the U.S. Always Ready Kids is constantly thinking ahead and thus has an ongoing clothing drive projects. Whenever a disaster strikes clothing from the drive will be immediately sent.
