Wow..This is one pretty cool site, It feels like there is alot of power at my fingertips right now as I type this, and I can't wait to get started!
Let me tell you more:
Cosley Zoo is one of only two free zoos in Illinois. On display at the zoo are native wildlife and domestic animals. Cosley zoo is also home to a unique group of teens- The Junior Zookeepers. JZs are teens in 7-12 grade and have a passion for animals and the environment. At the zoo we learn about taking care of the animals as well as the environment. We help with nearly every program at the zoo, as well as enriching a visitors experience by sharing our knowledge and experiences. For the 2009-2010 year the JZs plan to build a butterfly garden on the property. From visits to other zoos and wildlife centers as well as research, we know that butterfly not only are pretty and quite fascinating, but are a unique part of the ecosystem we live in. While the zoo waits for funds for its next new exhibit, the JZs will fill in one of the gaps of in the zoo with a butterfly garden, not only to educate the visitors about these delicate creatures, but also to attract and provide a haven for them.
