My computer shares an IP address with computers – how can I vote?

If you are a youth age 13-20, you are invited to join GenV as a site member. Instead of voting being controlled through your IP address, your GenV profile will monitor voting and allow you to vote online every 24 hours.

How do I find my IP address?

To find out your IP address, you can visit www.whatismyip.com or ask your service provider.

How do I join GenV as a site member?

Under the Youth Venture logo on www.genv.net, there is an orange button labeled “join now!” Only youth age 13-20 may join GenV as site members as this is a community of young changemakers.

How often can I vote?

During each day of the competition period a voter may cast only one vote via SMS from one cell phone number and two votes online from one e-mail address. When you cast a vote via SMS, standard SMS-messaging rates charged by your wireless provider apply. A day is defined as 24 hours.

When does voting end?

Voting ends at Midnight EST on January 9, 2009.

Who can vote?

You must be a legal resident of the United States to be eligible to vote during the Voting Period.

Who can I contact with a site issue or question?

Please email any and all questions to bestbuy15@youthventure.org.

How do I vote through text message?

Text the code (see below) of your favorite team to 32075. Standard rates apply.

I am a Verizon subscriber and I receive a notice about Premium rates when trying to vote – what does this mean?

While standard rates apply, Youth Venture and its partner, Viral Mesh, are not charging premium rates to vote in the @15 Challenge. For more on this subject, please visit http://support.vzw.com/faqs/Premium_TXT_and_MMS/faq_premium_txt_and_mms.... or contact Verizon directly.
